Simon & Mandy

– The Cross Keys Bradenstoke

Introducing Simon & Mandy

Simon has been in the Hospitality industry since leaving school and training to become a Chef. Previously he has owned two other Pubs within the uk, before moving to Spain with family where he spent nine years. He remained in the hospitality sector, having a bar / restaurant with his brother Jason, as well as working as Head Chef elsewhere.

Mandy worked within administration roles since leaving school, then decided to move to Spain for a different lifestyle. She took a change in career and her journey within the hospitality sector began at a fine dining restaurant named the Vestry. It was here that she first met Simon

In 2012 they both relocated back to the UK and Wiltshire became their home. Simon had a job with his cousin Paul and partner, working as Chef alongside him at the Somerford Arms until 2015. Mandy was working for a local brewery and also started to work part time at the Cross Keys.

How It All Began

In 2015 Simon came into the Cross Keys as the chef and worked alongside Martin (the previous owner) to restyle the pub. Mandy came in to work front of house on a part time basis, as we grew the food service.

In January 2018 Martin sadly passed away and we were able to take over the Cross Keys and we reopened in March, after a small refurbishment which now is nearly completed.

The pub is now growing from strength to strength with the support from our friends, locals & villagers.
